Greetings My Beloved Clergy Sisters,
I trust that each of you are well and rested as we bid adieu to the Summer months while preparing to usher in the Fall season of renewal and reflection. It has been a beautiful Summer and it was a tremendous blessing to see so many of you at our Annual AMEWIM Luncheon in July in Dover, Delaware!
Annual WIM Luncheon
Kudos are extended to Rev. Iona Smith Nze and the women of the Delaware Conference who once again so graciously hosted us for this event. They introduced many of us to The Harvest House of Whatcoat United Methodist Church which is an innovative hospitality ministry of that communion. The venue was beautiful and immaculately kept and the service and food was outstanding. It was a blessing to support and sow into a church-run establishment.
It was also heartwarming to see the genuine support of our sisters at the Luncheon as we celebrated the significant ministry milestones that had been reached by women in the First Episcopal District this past year. God has indeed been good, and this was evident as we stood and clapped and celebrated God at work in the lives of so many of our Sisters. Special thanks to Rev. Kim Anderson of the New York Conference who presented a moving dramatic monologue and Licentiate Dionne Greene of Bermuda, who ministered in Dance. It was a wonderful time of fellowship! To God be the Glory!!
Women in Ministry Summit
We are now preparing for our Women in Ministry Summit which will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at Mount Zion AME Church in Harlem, New York where Rev. Jo-An Owings is pastor. Our First Vice-President and Program Chair, the Rev. There is so much more that I could share with you at this time, but time and space will not permit. We look forward to the launch of our website in the near future where we will be able to share all important information. Until then, we are dependent on these missives and our faithful Conference Coordinators to share information. Thanks for your patience!!
We are grateful for your support of WIM and your commitment to Ministry.
Look forward to seeing you in the next few weeks at the Minister's Retreat and Summit!!
Blessings and Peace
