Praise the Lord my sisters:
Just wanted to share with you a few highlights of Founder's Day Celebration 2015. It was a wonderful time in the Lord and we also had a wonderful WIM meeting.
We continue to thank God for our District President, the Rev. Dr. Emilygail Dill and the Executive Board for the great work that they are doing. At each meeting there is always a time of promoting the women and so during this meeting our sisters who have written books were able to present their books and to share their experience. We have some very powerful, talented, gifted and anointed women in the First District.
The preaching at Founder's Day were awesome. We were blessed by the following sermons:
We were blessed with a rich workshop entitled Our Extraordinary History led by Rev. Dr. Dennis C. Dickerson, Ph.D. If you are able to get the DVD, I recommend that you do, it is worth it.
There was a discussion on the upcoming General Conference. There is still a need for those who have not already volunteered to do so. You are encouraged to fill out the FDR Form and submit it as soon as possible.
Some important First District Bi-Centennial Celebration dates to be remembered:
You may find all updates and information on the First District's Hosting of the General Conference at: www.2016Generalconference.com
Again ladies, please visit the First District website or the above website and fill out the FDR Form. There is a need for at least 1000 volunteers and currently there are only 600. So New York, I am encouraging you to sign up. Remember, even if you won't be able to be at the Conference for the entire week, your assistance is still needed. So fill out the form and see where you will be able to be of assistance.
Remember, this will NEVER happen again and so be a part of it now.
To God be the Glory. Let's continue to pray for our Episcopal leadership, our Connectional President, our District President and for each other.
Be Blessed and be safe.
