Pray that all have had the opportunity to Rest, Relax and Release over the summer. As we return to work, we return with so much going on. Hurricane Harvey and Irma raging havoc and hurricane Jose and Katia trying to make themselves known. Pray that our families and friends that were in the path of all the hurricanes are safe.
As a District, a special offering is being collected as the goal is for the First Episcopal District to raise $100,000:00 in order to support those districts that were affected by the hurricane. May we continue to lift up those in Texas, the Caribbean, Florida and now Georgia. Let us also keep in prayer those affected by the earthquake in Mexico, the mud slide in Sri Leione and of course our brothers and sisters who are experiencing difficult times.
We Praise God that our Bishop has completed his treatments and rung that bell with joy as he was surrounded by members of the First Episcopal District. To God be the Glory for his healing and for our Supervisor for being strong, supportive and an encourager during this time.
Please take note that on this Friday, will be the NY Conference Ministerial Alliance Installation service. It will be held at Mt. Zion AME Church in Harlem, NY. Our very own Bishop will be the preacher. Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served from 6:15-7:15.
As you know next week is the First District Ministerial Retreat in Atlantic City, therefore our monthly meeting will not take place next Thursday, but will be held on the following Thursday, September 28th at 7 p.m. We thank God for the Pastor and members of Bright Temple AME Church, Bronx, NY. Rev. Karen Horry, Pastor, who agreed to host us.
Let's keep praying for one another.
Be Blessed.
