In light of the events that took place in Charleston, South Carolina on last night where the Rev. Clementa Pinckney and 8 other of his members of which, one of the members is sister of our very own Evangelist Christine George of St. Matthew's Community AME Church of Hollis were gunned down while in Bible Study. We the New York Annual Conference Women in Ministry understand the Power of UNITY and so we will be joining with the Emanuel AME Church family in prayer at noon where ever you may be.
We are also cancelling our scheduled meeting for this evening as we join in a Prayer Vigil that will be held at First Bethel AME Church-Harlem, this evening.
I know that this may cause a change in some of our schedules, but this is a major cause for us to join together in Prayer as we pray for our Connectional Church, family and friends. This is a reminder for us to pray for our Episcopal leaders/team, Pastors, Ministers, family and friends.
